Calendar

The calendar is where Moldova keeps moving.

It changes with the seasons, with the harvest, with traditions, with music, with villages preparing for celebrations, and with cities filling their squares with lights, concerts, markets and people.

Some events are large international festivals known across Europe, while others are small local celebrations that visitors only discover by chance while driving through a town or village.

Throughout the year, Moldova offers wine festivals, cultural celebrations, concerts, religious holidays, open-air fairs, food markets, folklore gatherings, national celebrations, seasonal traditions, sports events, village festivals and much more.

In spring the country slowly wakes up again with Easter traditions, flower markets and outdoor events.

Summer brings long evenings filled with concerts, lakeside festivals, open-air cinema, food fairs and celebrations across the country.

Autumn is harvest season, when wine, grapes, fruits and local traditions become part of everyday life. Winter transforms Moldova with Christmas lights, New Year celebrations, winter markets and traditional customs that have survived for generations.

This calendar is created to help both travelers and locals discover what is happening across all parts of Moldova - from Chiศ™inฤƒu and Bฤƒlศ›i to small villages, monasteries, wineries and regional communities.

Some events are planned far in advance, while others appear closer to the date as local organizers announce programs, concerts and activities.

Our goal is not only to list the biggest events, but also to highlight the atmosphere around them.

The roads leading there, the music heard from a distant square, the smell of grilled food from a market, families gathering during holidays, children running between stands, and the feeling of Moldova being alive in every season.

The calendar will continue growing over time with new events, festivals, fairs, traditions, markets and celebrations from all regions of Moldova.

Within the calendar, different colors are added to each event to help show its character, atmosphere and style, giving you a quick impression of what to expect before attending.

Some events last over days, but are not showed day by day an some dates are not yet availeble. Instead we recommend you to read the information and as soon, we have yhe exact missing parts, we update it.
